Conference to Explore Defense Finance Transformation and Cost Management
/EIN News/ Los Angeles, August 23, 2009 – The American Institute of Engineers, in association with Technology Training Corporation, will host a conference on Defense Finance and Cost Management, in Washington, DC, October 14-15, 2009.
The conference brings together senior experts from OSD, the Military Services, and industry to examine the impact of 2009 reforms on defense systems acquisition cost management. They will examine the cost risks associated with developing and inserting new and often immature technologies; the challenges in making trade-off decisions between cost, schedule and performance early in the program life cycle; and the latest best practices in minimizing the cost impact of mid-program changes.
