Metrobus crash injured 19!

Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority alerts Washington personal injury attorneys-A crash involving a charter bus and a Metrobus injured 19 people.

Washington, D.C.—A Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) Metrobus was rear-ended by a charter bus, which left nineteen people injured. The bus collision happened on Friday, September 11, 2009 around 7:45 a.m. in the 2300 block of Good Hope Road in Southeast, as reported by The Washington Post.

According to police officials, a stationary Metrobus was hit from behind by a charter bus along Good Hope Road early Friday morning. The collision injured 19 people, which included six children and the driver of the Metrobus. Area emergency medical services (EMS) crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash to evaluate at least 21 people for possible injuries. Nineteen people were transported by EMS teams to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. The injuries are reportedly non-life threatening. It is currently unknown why the charter bus hit the Metrobus. It is also currently unknown if anyone was on the charter bus, or injured on the charter bus, when the crash occurred. Police officials are currently investigating the two-vehicle collision.
