First Student private school bus company settles bus crash injury claim with Elder Grove Elementary kindergarten teacher.

Montana personal injury lawyers alert-Billings kindergarten teacher settles school bus crash case against First

Student.

Billings, MT–Montana personal injury lawyers representing an Elder Grove Elementary School teacher reached a settlement agreement in a case against a private school bus company on behalf of their client, Andrea Lee. The personal injury lawsuit filed in a Montana District Court in 2008, by bus crash attorneys for the victim claimed Dennis Boehler, a First Student Inc., bus school bus driver struck Lee and seriously injured the kindergarten teacher. First Student, the private bus company contracted by School District 2 to drive students was also named in the accident suit as reported by the Billings Gazette on Monday, September 14, 2009.

The bus crash happened on October 14, 2005, at the intersection of King Avenue West and 56th Street West. The then 23 year-old school teacher, Lee, was driving to Elder Grove Elementary School, where she was a school teacher, and was struck by the First Student school bus at 7:10 a.m. Montana emergency crews were forced to use the Jaws of Life to remove Lee from the wreckage. Boehler was issued a failure to yield citation by Montana Highway Patrol troopers and his Justice Court deferred sentence has been sealed. It is unclear if Boehler remains employed as a school bus driver for First Student and no children were on the bus at the time of the accident. Judge Russell Fagg dismissed the claim last month after notification from the defense an agreement had been made between the private school bus company and Lee.
