Kentucky automobile accident lawyers alert- A head-on collision in Whitley County killed all four Dodge Neon occupants.

Corbin, KY—Four people tragically lost their lives in a head-on collision in Whitley County. The fatal front-end crash happened on Tuesday afternoon, October 13, 2009 around 3:45 p.m. on Indiana 5 south of Division Road, as reported by WSBT.

According to Whitley County Sheriff’s Department, a Dodge Neon was traveling northbound on Indiana 5 when the car attempted to pass in a no-passing zone. As the Dodge attempted to pass the car it slammed head-on into a southbound sport utility vehicle (SUV). All four people, two males and two females all from Kentucky, traveling inside the Dodge were killed in the wreck. Responding rescue crews pronounced the four occupants of the Dodge dead at the scene of the tragic crash.

Police officials have not released their identities because the family notification process is still ongoing. The driver of the SUV, John Brooks, 56, of Roanoke, Indiana sustained injuries in the wreck. Brooks was transported to Parkview Hospital by emergency medical services (EMS) crews for treatment of his non-life threatening injuries by doctors and nurses. Whitley County Sheriff’s Department is reportedly conducting a full investigation into the fatal two-vehicle crash. At this time no one has been charged or cited for the crash.
