Boeing worker killed in accident at Kent facility

Washington employment lawyers alerts- A Boeing employee was killed in an industrial accident in Kent, Washington.

Kent, WA—A Boeing employee was fatally injured in an industrial accident at the Boeing’s Kent Facility. The man reportedly died from a piece of machinery at the plant, which he was authorized to use, on Wednesday, November 17, 2009, at 2:00 p.m., as reported by the Seattle Post Intelligencer.

According to the Kent Fire Department, a Boeing employee was found dead at the plant from a piece of machinery located at the Kent facility. The identity of the deceased worker is currently being withheld due to the family notification process. Kent Police officials were unable to release any information concerning the fatal workplace traumatic event, other then it “appears to be an industrial accident.” The worker is reportedly a part of the defense side of Boeing’s smaller military programs. Kent Police and officials with the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) http://www.osha.gov are investigating the accident.

A Boeing spokesperson released a statement saying, “It is with regret that The Boeing Company is confirming that there has been an employee fatality at the Kent, WA facility. The incident is currently under investigation and we are in the process of notifying the family. We ask for your support in respecting our employees and their families during this emotional time.”
