17 students injured in Warren County school bus crash

Ohio personal injury lawyers alerts-Two school buses crashed in Warren County, which injured 17 students.

Cincinnati, OH—Two school buses filled with eighth graders collided while on their way to the Warren County Career Center for orientation on Tuesday, November 24, 2009. One school bus rear-ended the other on Miller Road in Lebanon around 11:40 a.m., as reported by the Dayton Daily News.

A total of four packed school buses from Kings Junior High School were traveling on Miller Road when the lead bus, driven by Bill Hauck, 64, stopped for unknown reasons. The school bus traveling behind Hack’s, driven by Carmen Nattos, 36, rear-ended the lead bus. Seventeen students complained of neck and shoulder pain due to the collision. They were all transported via emergency medical services (EMS) teams to Bethesda Medical Center at Arrow Springs for treatment. By Tuesday afternoon, all the of injured students were released from the hospital. Both of the bus drivers are cooperating with police officials and went to the hospital to submit a drug and alcohol test. The school buses involved in the wreck have been removed from daily operation until safety inspections have been completed. Neither of the two bus drivers reportedly have not had any disciplinary action while employed as a school bus driver. No charges have been filed at this time. Two additional school buses arrived at the scene to the transport the uninjured students back to Kings Junior High School.
