Legal news for California employment attorneys. Two workers were pinned in-between two vehicles while on their lunch break.

California employment lawyers alerts- Two workers sustained injuries after being pinned by two trucks in San Diego.

San Diego, CA—A Tuesday afternoon, December 8, 2009, accident hospitalized two workers who were eating their lunch at the time of the incident. The two men were pinned between two vehicles at a downtown construction site around 12:20 p.m., at Market Street and 10th Avenue in East Village, as reported by Sign On San Diego.

According to San Diego Fire-Rescue officials, two workers were sitting on the tailgate of a truck while eating their lunches on their lunch break, when another vehicle reversed, and hit another vehicle parked in front of the truck the men were sitting on. The impact of the collision pushed the truck that the men were sitting on into a vehicle parked behind it, pinning the men in-between the vehicles. Witnesses of the crash rushed over to help the men, and quickly pushed the vehicles apart, releasing the workers. When rescue teams arrived both men were lying on the ground. The two unidentified workers, ages 25 and 35, were rushed by emergency medical services (EMS) crews to a local hospital for treatment by doctors and nurses. It is unknown what types of injuries the men sustained or their current conditions. Police officials are reportedly conducting a full investigation into the accident.
