Legal News for Ohio Auto Accident Attorneys. A seriously injured pickup truck driver was airlifted after crashing into tree.

MedFlight transported an injured pickup truck driver to hospital after crash.

Lancaster, OH—A single-car crash left one man seriously injured on Thursday, December 17, 2009, as reported by the Lancaster Eagle Gazette. The driver of a 1989 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck, Nick Bray, was allegedly heading south near 2830 BIS Road at 9:54 p.m. when the incident occurred. According to reports by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (ODPS), Bray drove off the right side of the road and struck a telephone pole. He then allegedly over-corrected, veering to the left, subsequently sending the pickup between two homes where the vehicle came to a rest after hitting a tree about 15 yards from the road. The top half of the telephone pole blocked off southbound traffic after breaking in half on impact with the Tacoma.

Nick Bray, who’s age was undisclosed, had to be transported by emergency medical services (EMS) teams from Amanda Township to Southeastern Correctional Institution to be airlifted by MedFlight to Ohio State Medical Center to be treated for the severe pickup truck crash injuries he sustained. The driver of the pickup was not wearing a seat belt, according to accident reports. He was the only person occupying the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

Andy Ward of the Ohio Highway Patrol allegedly claimed that there was an unopened beer can on the passenger seat though it is unknown whether Bray was intoxicated at the time of the crash.
