Microsoft Slaps TiVo with Patent Infringement Suit
January 22, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ Software giant Microsoft has filed a patent-infringement suit against digital-video-recorder manufacturer TiVo.
Microsoft claims TiVo uses Microsoft technology related to purchasing and delivering videos and to program information display. TiVo, however, has countered that this lawsuit is merely a ploy from Microsoft to help its partner AT&T, which faces its own patent-infringement suit from TiVo.
