Weeks after a deadly crash in Southlake a Toyota owner’s vehicle was subject to a second recall.
Southlake, Texas (WiredPRNews.com) – The vehicle driven by a man who died in a car accident that occurred the day after Christmas was subject to a second recall announced weeks after the crash. As reported by CBS 11 News, the widow of Monty Hardy recently spoke about the accident which killed her husband and three others in Southlake.
As noted in the report, the 2008 Toyota Avalon was subject to two recalls due to floor mats and accelerator pedals; however investigators reportedly could not conclude whether defects in the components contributed to the accident.
Randy Roberts, an attorney for Linda Hardy is quoted by CBS 11 as stating of the findings, “We’re going to gather all of the facts before we take any legal action, but I know enough already that legal actions is appropriate.”
Hardy is further quoted in the report as stating of her husband, “He had just turned 56. He had a lot more life to live, and I miss him terribly. We were soul mates.”
