Need a Pillow? How About a Blanket? For $8, American Airlines Has You Covered
February 10, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ The fees just keep on coming for the airline industry as American Airlines has announced it will start charging for blankets and pillows on its domestic, North American and Latin American flights.
Starting May 1, American Airlines will charge $8 for a blanket-and-pillow pack. Instead of a foam pillow, passengers will receive an inflatable neck pillow. JetBlue and US Airways already charge for such sleeping kits, but now that American has fallen in line, how long will it be before all carriers follow suit — much like they did with charging for checked baggage?
