Youth Golf Organization Seeks Sponsorship for Charity Golf Event In Support of Breast Cancer Research
Pasadena, MD – February 15. 2010 — Anne Arundel Women’s Golf Organization (AAWGO) is proud to host its inaugural charity golf event on Monday, September 20, 2010 on the beautiful greens of The Golf Course at South River in Edgewater, MD. We invite you to participate in this golf tournament on a large scale, as a level sponsor. A portion of the proceeds of the event will be donated to the Maryland Susan G. Komen Foundation. The Susan G. Komen Foundation has been chosen for this event to honor those who have been stricken with Breast Cancer and to promote awareness and prevention of this life threatening disease.
AAWGO is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization founded in 2007 to focus on the enhancement of youth in the state of Maryland. Our main focus is to introduce at risk youth to alternate activities that will stimulate their developing minds to achieve success. One of our proven activities has been through the game of golf. Golf not only is a relaxing activity, but it also teaches youth honesty, integrity and self control. Our program success has measurable outcomes that are visible through better grades, increased family participation and the willingness of youth to volunteer in their communities. The proceeds from this event will help continue to provide valuable golf and education programs through our ongoing commitment to enhance the lives of Maryland youth.
