Neck Creams Serve Wonderful Purpose, Says Survey
Anti aging creams are becoming more advanced each year. In the last 18 months, many companies have found that a neck cream has been a highly useful cream that can help target an area prone to extensive sun damage.
In a recent survey of South Florida residents, most of them agreed that they were unhappy with the skin conditions in the decollete area of their body. The decollete, for anyone not familiar with the lingo, is the area of skin starting around the upper chest and extending up to the neck, including the area of skin under the jaw. This “V-Zone” is prone to sun damage unlike other areas of the body because most people simply do not pay attention to it as much as their facial skin.
“It’s important that people make a substantial effort to cover up this area of skin with sunscreen,” said Doug Holliday of EliteSkin, a leading anti aging skin care company maintaining offices and manufacturing facilities in South Florida. “Most people are in agreement that while they are quick to cover up their face with sunscreen, they often don’t pay enough attention to their neck and chest area. This can really damage the skin over time, especially with people who spend 3-5 hours on the golf course on occasion while wearing a V-Neck shirt. This area is exposed to the sun and needs protection to avoid sun damage.”
For this reason, the V-Covery Cream by EliteSkin is a hot seller this year. This neck and chest cream works to firm and tighten the skin with it’s cosmeceutical ingredients such as Matrixyl 3000 and LipoCare. These ingredients have documented successes in clinical testing showing wrinkle reduction of up to 50%. Neck wrinkles are among the most difficult wrinkles to treat, and only the most advanced neck creams work on a therapeutic level to help get rid of neck wrinkles. Age spots are also a problem in the decollete area, as they increase in size with increased exposure to the sun.
If you leave your neck and chest area unprotected, you could develop what people call ‘turkey neck,’ a reference comparing the sagging skin under the jaw to that of a turkeys gobbler. For this reason, it’s always best to apply sunblock to this area, especially when entering the sun for long periods of time. The last thing you want to do is have uncorrectable turkey neck, which would only be treated with a neck lift. The neck lift procedure is not only painful, but quite expensive.
If you look in the mirror and find sagging skin, sun spots, or unsightly neck wrinkles, it may be time for you to start looking for a neck cream. After all, most people spend hundreds of dollars trying to look young by using various facial skin care products, only to show their true age when they expose their decollete.
