UIC Health Information Management & Health Informatics programs to attend HIMSS10
UIC HIM & HI Faculty will be available at Booth 3044 to answer questions and discuss UIC’s advanced online degrees in Health Informatics and Health Information Management.
Chicago, IL (February 26) – The University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) Department of Applied Health Sciences is pleased to announce that it will welcome health informatics professionals at its booth at the HIMSS10 Heath Care IT Conference and Exhibition to be held March 1-4, 2010 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, GA.
“We have a lot of exciting events planned for this important conference,” says Dr. Larry Pawola, Program Director of Health Informatics and Interim Head of the Department of Biomedical and Health Information Sciences. “Convention attendees will be able to stop by booth # 3044 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of the conference” says Pawola, where professionals can meet with UIC faculty and staff. “We will also provide a special Fall Information session on Tuesday, March 2 at 2:00 P.M. for prospective students who are interested in Fall 2010 admission.” The Fall application deadline for UIC programs is May 1, 2010.
Dr. Pawola will also host a discussion session on Tuesday, March 2 at 11:30 A.M. that will focus on EHR’s: A 37-Year Journey, one of the hottest subjects in health informatics today. UIC will be located in booth #3044 and all scheduled UIC events will take place in this booth.
