Strange Bedfellows? Weight Watchers Endorses McDonald’s Fast Food in NZ
March 3, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ Are Chicken McNuggets a healthy diet food selection? According to Weight Watchers in New Zealand, they are.
McDonald’s and Weight Watchers in the country have teamed up to highlight some of the fast-food chain’s healthier menu items, the AP reports. McDonald’s will use the Weight Watchers logo on its menu board to promote foods that have been approved by the dieting franchise. Such foods include McDonald’s fried mainstays such as Chicken McNuggets and Filet-O-Fish.
Some nutritionists and obesity experts are less than impressed with the endorsement.
