Sony PlayStation Network to Add HD Movies from Major Film Studios
March 10, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ Sony has announced that six major motion picture studios, including its own, have signed on to digitally distribute HD movies to Sony’s PlayStation Network for its PS3 console.
The HD movies will be available in the US, but Sony said that customers in the UK, France, Germany and Spain will soon be able to download movies, as well. For the service launch, Sony Pictures, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Walt Disney, Universal and Warner Bros. will distribute HD versions of resent releases and a few classic films.
