Illinois motorcycle accident lawyer alerts- Crash involving motorcycle and tractor-trailer left one person injured.

Chicago, IL—A violent motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving a motorcycle and a semi-truck left a motorcyclist critically injured on Wednesday, March 17, 2010. The incident occurred on the Kennedy Expressway (Interstate 90) on the Chicago’s Northwest Side, according to information provided by the Chicago Sun-Times.

Illinois State Police (ISP) District Chicago Master Sgt. Jason Lococo reported a 30-year-old motorcyclist traveling on northbound I-90 when a collision involving his 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle and a tractor-trailer occurred. The motorcyclist allegedly attempted to veer into the right hand lane where two 18-wheelers were traveling in close proximity of each other, subsequently rear-ending one of them upon doing so. Police officials reportedly believe the motorcyclist was attempting to exit the interstate onto Cumberland Avenue when the accident happened at approximately 5:40 a.m.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews seemingly responded to the scene of the crash to transport the critically injured motorcyclist to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital at 6:06 a.m., so medical professionals could treat him. The unidentified motorcyclist was reportedly wearing a helmet when he slammed into the back of the big rig. The truck driver was not found to be at fault or issued any citations in connection with the collision, based on preliminary investigations. The motorcyclist was seemingly expected to face charges upon recovering from his severe injuries.
