A South Carolina state trooper was killed in a vehicle accident Saturday.
Lancaster, S.C. (WiredPRNews.com) – A South Carolina state trooper was killed in a vehicle accident on Saturday. As reported by WIS 10 News, Corporal D. Kevin Cusack was headed on SH 200 when his vehicle ran off of the road approximately 6 miles outside of Lancaster. The Florence native reportedly passed away approximately 3:30 am while on duty. The accident is still under investigation.
Highway Patrolman Kenny Lancaster Jr. is quoted in the report as releasing the statement regarding the accident, “All of those who knew Kevin Cusack, and the law enforcement community as a whole, are greatly saddened by the loss of our co-worker and friend…Kevin has served the York County area his entire career and is well-known and loved in that area.”
Cusack, 45, is survived by his mother and three children. He was a twenty-one year old veteran of the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
