A Mississippi man has been charged after a Dallas accident that left several people injured.
Dallas (WiredPRNews.com) – A Mississippi man has been charged with aggravated assault following a vehicle crash that left five individuals injured. As reported by the Dallas Morning News, 22 year-old David Contreras is accused of causing an accident Saturday in which he and four others sustained injuries.
As noted in the report, Contreras was stated in a police report to have argued with his girlfriend Stephanie Caballero at a club early Saturday morning. He reportedly then followed Caballero after she left the club parking lot, and hit her car with his multiple times. Contreras subsequently hit Caballero’s vehicle after she picked up speed in an attempt to escape, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle and crash into another.
Those injured in the accident were taken to local hospitals for medical treatment. If convicted of the aggravated assault charges, Contreras could receive up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
