/ EINPresswire.com / 30 March 2010 / Nesco Resource was recognized by the BEP Institute as one of 5 Ohio firms winning the 2010 Business Emergency Planning Professional Excellence award, for its efforts in maintaining business operations in spite of a devastating fire which occurred in the Nesco Resource Salt Lake City branch office on Christmas Eve 2009. In addition to Nesco, the other 2010 BEPPE award winners included The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Invacare Corporation, Case Western Reserve University and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health.
“We were honored to be recognized with this award for our efforts in persevering through a tragedy”, stated Tim McPherson, President and Chief Operating Officer for Nesco Resource. “While such emergencies are very unpleasant experiences to deal with, it does indeed show the strength of our organization and our ability to respond in rapid fashion to continue support of our clients and temporary personnel. I would like to thank our local Salt Lake City staff colleagues for their extra work over the holiday season and their triumph over a most difficult situation.”
To summarize the events which led to this award, Nesco Resource faced a 99% loss of all SLC branch property in a fire on Christmas Eve of 2009, yet rebounded in strong fashion to set up and continue business operations at 100% capacity on the very next scheduled business day.
Nesco Resource and the other award winners will be recognized at the 11th Annual Business Continuity Conference to be held on April 14th in Cleveland, Ohio.
