San Diego, CA (WiredPRNews.com): san diego bankruptcy Lawyer D.J. Rausa spoke to two community groups regarding bankruptcy information, financial management and San Diego short sales.
“Our bankruptcy attorneys feel it’s important to incorporate education into our practice,” Rausa said. “I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned about bankruptcy in San Diego County in 16 years of practice with consumers and professionals alike.”
Rausa spoke March 3 to a large group of employees of a company that provides in-home care to seniors and others who cannot fully care for themselves. The topics included household budget planning, the pitfalls of credit card balances, collection activities and basic information on Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies in San Diego.
“I wanted to give the audience some tips on how to avoid bankruptcy and what to do if you’re in over your head with debt,” Rausa said. “Too often, people come to our bankruptcy firm at the last minute, and some of their stress and hassle could have been avoided if they had come in at the first sign of trouble.”
Rausa also spoke to a group of real estate professionals, brokers and agents about the crossover issues between the San Diego real estate market in today’s economy and bankruptcy law. The goal was to help real estate professionals understand the laws of bankruptcy so they could better advise clients during a sale. The law firm’s education director, Beth Ziesenis, said The Law Offices of Rausa and Mason are accepting more speaking engagements for the spring.
“We’re committed to educating the public about bankruptcy,” Ziesenis said. “Talking about the common myths of bankruptcy helps consumers figure out if they can file for Chapter 7 or 13, or if they have other options available.”
