Legal News for Arizona bus accident attorneys: No injuries reported after a Mesa school bus was rear-ended.

An Arizona school bus crash caused by a pickup truck didn’t result in any injuries.

Mesa, AZ—An Arizona charter school bus was rear-ended Wednesday afternoon, April 7, 2010 as it was dropping off a student at a school bus stop. The Mesa Fire Department responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., near Greenfield and Brown Roads, as reported by ABC15.

According to officials, a Legacy Charter School bus reportedly stopped to drop a student off after school when a pickup truck subsequently slammed into the back of the bus. Another pickup truck was also involved after the initial crash, but its role was not reported. The seventeen people on board the bus, including the bus driver, were seemingly uninjured in the wreck. The two drivers of the pickup were evaluated at the scene by responding medical crews. No injuries were reported among the truck drivers as well.

It was not disclosed what caused the pickup truck driver to hit the bus. Officials were initially concerned that pool chemicals and a battery that flew out of the back of one of the trucks and hit the bus had leak. But after inspection it was determined that they were safe and hadn’t leaked.

The Mesa Public School District sent another school bus to the scene to transport the students the rest of the way home.
