Legal News for California Employment Attorneys. Steven Seagal’s ex-assistant filed a civil suit against the famed movie star for allegedly using her as a “sex toy.”

News for California employment lawyers- A civil lawsuit, filed against Steven Seagal in Los Angeles County Superior Court, claims alleged sexual harassment.

Los Angeles, CA—Action movie star and Jefferson Parish Police Department Reserve Deputy Chief Steven Seagal was sued for alleged sexual harassment on Monday, April 12, 2010. His former assistant filed the civil lawsuit in Los Angeles County Superior Court, though an attorney representing Seagal reportedly contended the plaintiff’s claims were “a complete fabrication”, according to information provided by CNN.

Former model and aspiring air traffic controller Kayden Nguyen, 23, allegedly responded to a Craigslist ad for a job position at Seagal’s production company in February. Shortly after applying to be his executive assistant, Nguyen was hired and flown from Los Angeles, California to New Orleans, Louisiana via Seagal’s private jetliner.

According to the lawsuit, however, Nguyen’s job description seemingly changed drastically when Seagal allegedly greeted his new employee by stating, “I’m a family man, and I live with my wife, but she wouldn’t care if you were my lover.” The lawsuit went on to contend Seagal sexually harassed Nguyen three times, including one “vicious sexual attack”, over a span of five days. In response to Nguyen’s fear, Seagal reportedly told his assistant to calm down, subsequently stating, “We won’t do anything special tonight. I’ll save that for another night.” The civil suit also noted Seagal already had “two young Russian ‘attendants’ on staff who were available for his sexual needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week”.

As Nguyen was about to get into a taxi to leave Seagal’s house, under the façade that she was meeting with family members on February 28, Seagal allegedly “followed a few steps behind, shining a flashlight with a gun attached to it”. According to the lawsuit, sheer terror prompted Nguyen to abandon all her personal belongings, which included her car keys, laptop, attire and an expensive collection of make-up.

The attorney representing Seagal alleged the lawsuit was a “ridiculous and absurd claim by a disgruntled ex-employee who was fired for using illegal narcotics”, insisting Nguyen’s claims were a “complete fabrication without a scintilla of truth”. However, the suit noted Seagal’s employees reportedly refused to return her belongings unless she signed a release that would protect Seagal from facing any future sexual harassment-related litigation. The case is underway.
