News for Florida auto accident lawyers- A fatal crash, involving an SUV and two other vehicles, left three people with injuries ranging from minor to serious in Palm Beach County, FL.

Greenacres, FL—An unfortunate motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving at least three vehicles resulted in one fatality and left three others with injuries ranging from minor to serious at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010. The deadly wreck occurred at the intersection of Melaleuca Lane and Jog Road in Palm Beach County, Florida, according to information provided by the Palm Beach Post.

Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) authorities reported a unknown vehicle, which allegedly left the scene, made a left turn in front of a northbound Mitsubishi, driven by 18-year-old Yuervens Louis, seemingly causing Louis to loose control of his vehicle. Upon doing so, the Mitsubishi veered across the median, slammed into the front of a southbound Ford Expedition sport utility vehicle and then struck the front of a Toyota, which was positioned behind the SUV, as well.

Emergency medical services (EMS) crews responded to the scene of the horrifying SUV-involved motor vehicle accident to transport those injured to area hospitals for treatment. The driver of the Ford, 54-year-old Daniel Saldana, suffered severe injuries, which he succumbed to at the scene of the crash. Saldana’s daughter, Collyn, suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Delray Medical Center to be treated by doctors and nurses. As of Thursday night, Collyn Saldana’s condition had reportedly improved. Louis, the driver of the Mitsubishi, also suffered serious injuries and was taken to JFK Medical Center. The driver of the Toyota involved in the three-vehicle crash, 51-year-old Nancy Caviedes, allegedly suffered lacerations on her face from broken glass. She was taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center to be treated for her minor injuries.

Witness reports indicated street racing might have been a factor in the wreck, however, according to PBSO traffic homicide investigator Sgt. John Churchill, although officials will look into the allegations, the cause of the deadly collision remains unknown. A full probe is expected to be underway.
