International Forum Sponsored by The Center for Public Policy, Czech Republic
May 13, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ — The Center for Public Policy, a non-profit organization founded in Prague, Czech Republic in 2003, is proud to announce the latest addition to its portfolio of educational programs: an international summer school focused on China and its quest for a new international role.
Titled “China: A World Superpower – Myth or Reality?”, the forum is open to both undergraduate and graduate students of political science, international relations, history, journalism, economics, sociology or any other social sciences. The seminar runs from July 3-10, 2010.
London School of Economics Professor Christopher R. Hughes, an expert on China, will teach the main block of lectures and workshops that center on Beijing’s domestic policies as well as China’s foreign policy vis-a-vis its Asian neighbors, Europe and the PRC’s main superpower rival, the United States.
In addition to the academic program, the forum offers participants networking opportunities with fellow students and academics and engaging discussions with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. The forum schedule also includes cultural events that highlight the charming host city of Prague.
Prospective students will find all the details about the China summer school and an online application at http://china.cpvp.cz/.
