May 19, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ — Siemens announced that it has closed the deal on an order of 150 wind turbines to be used in the largest onshore wind project in the US, the Lower Snake River wind project in Washington state.
Puget Sound Energy, which is developing the Lower Snake River project, also has an option to purchase 110 more wind turbines from Siemens. The Lower Snake River wind farm is expected to provide power to more than 100,000 homes in Washington state.
