Quantum Business Innovation, the Russian business innovations company, is now looking to expand business operations in the UK.
A British owned, Russian company which offers Russian market entry and distribution and logistics support services to foreign businesses seeking to enter the Russian market has announced their intention to expand their operations into the UK.
Moscow based QBI (Quantum Business Innovation) have focused on supporting UK businesses in entering the Russian market and establishing resilient and cost effective logistical operations, supply chains and distribution networks from their Moscow project management offices, since 2005.
On Wednesday 14th July the firm announced its intention to expand operations to the UK after their General Director, David Maltby, revealed plans to acquire an established logistics firm in Great Britain.
QBI is in early stage discussions with at least one potential courier firm who fit the profile of what QBI are looking for, but they are seeking alternatives and have not ruled out the acquisition of more than one firm and merging the operations of several companies.
In the announcement, which was made on the QBI website David Maltby said “We’re really excited to be expanding ‘back’ into the UK. Having provided support for British companies wanting to expand into Moscow, we’re now looking to go back to where I started – in the fast moving Express and Light Freight business. We believe that the lessons we’ve learned in Russia over the last few years will stand us in good stead for this new move.”
David went on to say “An ideal fit would be to identify transporters with routes or business into Eastern Europe and specifically Russia, which has been our core business until now. However, we’re capable of building that arm of the firm ourselves – our strategy will be to identify the right company and start formal negotiations as soon as we can”.
