Induction cooktop innovator CookTek(R) introduces Four and Six Burner (Hob) Commercial Induction Ranges for cleaner, faster, and more energy-efficient cooking.

Chicago – CookTek(R) introduces the first ever U.S. made, multi-burner, commercial induction ranges. These heavy-duty induction ranges offer more precise cooking and save energy. Running much cooler than any other kind of range, they improve the working environment too. With a commercial build and appearance, they fit seamlessly into existing kitchens.

“The CookTek team is thrilled to introduce our new line of heavy duty, cost-effective commercial induction ranges,” said Edward Nunn, CookTek’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “We have always designed, engineered, and built our induction cooking systems with commercial kitchens in mind. But these new products are designed to be the primary cooking equipment. Professional chefs will feel right at home using these units. The inner-technology and basic strength were proven over three years of testing. We’ve paid attention to every detail – right down to ‘burner-patterned’ top and hefty, cast metal control knobs, for operator familiarity. The induction cooktop also features overbuilt legs, and removable grease filters for easy cleaning.”

Induction cooking has been around for a while, but has traditionally been used in front-of-house or light duty applications, with typical devices offering one or two burners. CookTek has always focused on commercial foodservice. The new line of heavy-duty four burner induction ranges and six burner induction ranges fully assert that position. The new induction cooktops require three-phase power, but deliver the equivalent of 31,000 BTUs per burner.

“When using traditional gas ranges only 30 to 40 percent of the energy gets to the pan. Electric ranges do a little better at about 50 percent,” said Nunn. “Like most induction equipment, CookTek’s new line delivers 90 to 95 percent, but now in a robust commercial-kitchen-proof package.”

By design, common or shared components have been kept to a minimum. Should a burner ever require service, none of the others is affected. Service is simple – the top pops open like the hood of a car. A qualified service technician can then replace a burner module in minutes.

About CookTek: CookTek(R), (www.cooktek.com) the Chicago-based developer and manufacturer of induction powered equipment for the foodservice industry, is changing the way the world cooks, serves, and delivers food.
