Forum Four Seminars – One Big Fashion Event
In Partnership with the Center for Professional Studies at FIT New York, NY – November 18, 2010 – OPR, the source for fashion information since 1933, is hosting a fashion, trend & color forum not to be missed.
Renowned fashion leaders will gather to offer creative insight regarding the pulse of future fashion trends. Using exciting imagery, and expert commentary, the speakers will explore color, fabrics, print, pattern and silhouettes that inspire S/S 2012 product development and design.
Each presenter will show from 4 to 8 key themes of the season offering their unique insight into the color, fabric, style for Men’s, Women’s Kid’s and Lifestyle direction for S/S 2012.

Debbie Weinberg, Executive VP of OPR
Originally trained as a fine artist and educator, Debbie has worked in the fashion industry for the past 15 years consulting and presenting color and trends to numerous global fashion, textile and home design corporations as well as at OPR seminars. She has presided over the marketing, merchandising, sales, advertising and promotion functions at OPR including exhibiting at numerous international trade fairs. Debbie represents some of the top international and domestic publishers of fashion intelligence offering in-depth interpretations of their latest trends in color, fabric & style for the American market.
Ben Gomes, VP of Creative Services at OPR
Ben is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of fashion forecasting, color and design and is responsible for the promotion and presentation of over 70 different color, fabric, and style services. Ben is also an instructor at the Fashion Institute of Technology’s Textile/Surface Design Department and the Center for Professional Studies
Carol Meek, President of Color Portfolio
With over 21 years experience in the fashion industry, Carol an extensive product development and fashion direction background in the Women’s, Men’s, Home and in Children’s areas. Carol understands the importance of color and trends in today’s market place for retailers and manufacturers. She has worked extensively in the European, Tokyo, Asian, and South American Markets and is a member of the American Trend and Color Committee and is also an invited speaker at many of the industry’s trade shows, such as TEXWORLD, DIRECTIONS,
and The Apparel Sourcing Show in Guatemala.
Laurie Press, VP Pantone, Fashion, Home & Interiors
In her role as VP at Pantone, Laurie Pressman is responsible for creating the strategic vision and developing the marketing platform for Pantone’s fashion, home and interiors division on an international basis. With over 20 years experience in product development and merchandising for the fashion and home furnishing markets, Laurie recognizes that color is an intrinsic part of the visual part of the visual experience and plays a significant role in the development of Pantone’s color forecasting products division at the Fashion Institute of Technology and is a Vice-chair of the color standards committee for Color Marketing Group.
