Nov 23, 2010 /EIN Presswire/ – Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, former lieutenant governor of Maryland, has been slated to chair the newly founded American Bridge group, a collaboration of Democratic donors that hope to challenge the current strength of GOP media.
David Brock, a Democratic strategist, told The New York Times that he plans on filing paperwork with the Federal Election Commission as a political action committee this week to begin to spend the more than $4 million already collected for the organization.
The action of Mr. Brock comes on the heels of a strengthened conservative base in 2010, and many Democratic groups are calling for more organizations like American Bridge to increase support for the next election cycle.
