Key Environmental Inc. launches a new website to keep customers informed on key issues. Key Environmental Inc. will provide information online about its environmental remediation and other services
CARNEGIE, PA — Key Environmental Inc, a nationwide environmental engineering consulting firm, has established a new website with extensive information about its services, expertise and ongoing and completed remediation projects.
The company, which helps clients across the country reach and maintain compliance with complex federal and state laws regarding hazardous and solid waste, plans to use the website to demonstrate how it can help private-sector companies control long-term costs and reduce environmental liability in a cost-effective manner.
“Our wide-ranging experience in remediation, from brownfield redevelopment to Superfund site cleanup, gives us an edge over many of our competitors. Our website will include not only a list of all the services we provide, but case studies describing how we meet the challenges posed by specific projects,” said Jim Zubrow, president of Key Environmental Inc (http://www.keyenvironmentalinc.com/).
The company’s technical staff includes engineers and scientists who are nationally recognized for their expertise in the investigation and cleanup of sites contaminated by petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents and coal tar materials. That expertise, along with experience in many other areas, enables Key Environmental to provide a long list of services, including engineering design, construction oversight/management, geophysical evaluations, hydrogeological testing, air monitoring, demolition, feasibility studies and regulatory negotiation.
The company also helps clients navigate the requirements of various state-mandated cleanup programs as well as the Federal Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, known in the industry as RCRA. Running well over 150 pages, RCRA sets forth regulations governing the treatment, storage and disposal of hazardous waste.
“Many of our clients find themselves overwhelmed with the number of state and federal environmental regulations they must meet. Because violations can be costly, they turn to us to ensure that their sites and projects are in regulatory compliance every step of the way,” Zubrow said.
Key Environmental Inc’s website includes downloadable fact sheets with overviews, photos and detailed descriptions of several of the company’s projects, including the design and permitting of remediation at a 60-acre former industrial site and the design and construction management of a source material remediation project.
The website goes beyond simply informing clients about services, however. One element of particular interest to clients is the Data Exchange page, a password-protected feature that enables the company to transfer important data to clients and vendors on a project-by-project basis.
“This feature is part of our commitment to making communication with our clients as efficient as possible. Any given project typically involves large amounts of data that must be shared among several key parties. It only makes sense to streamline that process,” Zubrow said.
