(Hot, sports promo and rally on the ‘The Big 3’ joining Miami)
Heat Mascot face-off (Let’s Beat the Heat) Video
So you think you have a dynasty there
You think we’ll lie down and disappear
Chicago Il, December 14, 2010 — So goes a hot, new, comedic, ‘You Tube’ music video called “Let’s beat the heat”. All part of a new, fun and friendly fan based campaign and rally in support of all the NBA teams versus the new, big, bad and alleged fire breathing, Miami Heat. Of course, it is all in response to the recent (2010) free-agency debacle and believed underhanded move by NBA marquee player Lebron James and fellow superstars’ Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh. Most know the story – after visiting and stringing along several teams and raising the hopes of fans league-wide, into believing that their teams were real contenders for their services, the three would shock all and upset many by their common announcement that each would be joining the Miami franchise. Also, most believe that this bold strategy instantly shifted the balance of power and fear to South Beach.
Rally, rally, rally! Now, all in fun and good spirit, this campaign revolves around several ‘Beat the Heat’ songs and cheers, states Warren Avery of Avery Marketing, the organizer and trademark owners of the ‘Lets Beat the Heat’ promotion and the accompanying ‘Defeat Da Heat’ and ‘Freeze the Heat’ trademarks. Avery further shares that they are working to get the rally incorporated into the stadium programs of select NBA teams, to coincide with their Heat Game Day visits.
The campaign further consists of custom pennants, bumper stickers, ring tones, song downloads, plus, other merchandising and hot attire: caps, t-shirts, etc. The On line site, as well, offers a blog, called ‘The War Room’, where fans have a constructive outlet to share and (for some) to vent their feelings of frustration or even betrayal.
Together, Avery Marketing, states that these channels will unite NBA fans with a renewed hope and voice. So with this goal, they ask that besides acquiring the hot gear to show your team spirit on Heat game day, that the fans wear it often and would tip their friends to it, as well. They further request that each fan call and email their home team daily, requesting that they formally join the campaign, so as to maximize the Heat Game Day, stadium experience and unity. www.LetsBeatTheHeat.com
