U.S. – A College Station woman credits a little know treatment option with helping her keep her hair after undergoing treatment for breast cancer. As reported by KBTX.com, Lacy Genovese used Penguin Cold Caps during chemotherapy, which typically contributes to significant hair loss for patients, and says they helped to minimize the loss of her hair. The caps reportedly cost Genovese $560 per month and a $1000 deposit.

Genovese is quoted in the report as stating of using the caps, β€œIt seemed to be like it was something that I wanted to try. My whole goal here is try to get this out to the Brazos area so that other women and men will know about it and hopefully other people will try it.”
