Arm The Animals helps cash-strapped shelters by donating a portion of their profits, raising awareness and generating funds while making a bold statement.
Long Beach , California — This holiday season why not give a gift that will give back? Arm The Animals has created a line of t-shirts that help raise awareness for animals as well as donating much needed funds to local animal charity organizations. A portion of the sales from the shirts go to help support local animal shelters in the Los Angeles area.
With designs like the Dear Hunter, which depicts a large deer with scoped-rifles for antlers, and Gorilla Warfare, which bears a primate wielding an AK-47, Arm the Animals is making waves and many celebrities and artists are already getting behind the cause. You can already feel the buzz on Twitter and their Facebook page.
For longtime friends and pet enthusiasts Matthew Heinemeyer and Danian Rios, their mission statement is simple: to create killer t-shirts while raising money for cash-strapped animal care organizations. Danian and Matt both admit that, while they can’t save every abused, unloved or unwanted animal, they definitely want to do their part to save some of them.
Currently, Arm the Animals has teamed up with two local animal charity organizations, Good Dog Animal Rescue in Venice, CA, and Strangest Angels Non-Profit Animal Rescue in Los Angeles. According to Rios, “Since a portion of all gross sales go to these local reputable animal care organizations, it’s important that they are highlighted and that the customer knows who she is helping.”
