Mendon, NY—A Mendon woman was rushed to the hospital after she became pinned between two-vehicles while trying to assist an accident on Route 251. The automobile accident occurred around 11 a.m., on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, near Stoney Lonesome Road in Mendon, as reported by the Penfield Post.

According to police officials, a vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 251 lost control while trying to navigate a curve and veered from the roadway. Jill Klimasewski, 55, of Mendon saw the accident and parked her vehicle nearby to help the driver of the vehicle.

As Klimasewski was standing next to the vehicle that lost control, a eastbound truck driven by Craig Huston, 40, of Rochester, slammed into her and pinned her between the truck and the other vehicle.

Multiple fire departments responded to the scene and worked for over an hour to free Klimasewski. She was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries, which were considered to be non-life-threatening.

Officers ticketed Huston for speed not reasonable and prudent under the conditions.
