North Brunswick, NJ—A worker was killed at a North Brunswick service station when he was pinned between a tool box and the flatbed of a truck on Wednesday, January 12, 2011. The fatal work-related accident occurred around 7 a.m., at the Coppa’s Service Center on Route 1, as reported by NJ.com.

According to police officials, Thomas Seinese, 47, of Burlington and another worker started removing snow from the truck by raising the flatbed. At some point, the unidentified worker got into the driver’s side of the truck cab and pulled the lever to lower the flatbed. The flatbed came down, trapping Seinese between the flatbed and a large tool box.

Seinese was discovered by another worker just after 8 a.m.

Responding emergency crews pronounced Seinese dead at the scene.

A full investigation is underway. It was not reported if the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) will be investigating.
