Fort Wayne, IN — Matilda Jane LLC and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recalled about 1,500 girl’s dresses for choking hazards. The CPSC announced the product recall on March 15, 2011.
The product recall was issued after discovering that the buttons can come off, which poses a choking hazard.
“The Chelsa dress is a girl’s sleeveless sundress in sizes 2, 4, and 6. The top is white with green polka dots; the bottom is printed with a green and yellow floral design and has a multi-colored floral border at the hem,” reported the CPSC press release.
Consumers are advised to return the dress for repair or refund by contacting Matilda Jane Clothing.
The recalled dresses were sold at in-home trunk shows and online from February 1 through February 25, 2011.
