Reid Organization, Inc. celebrated it’s 5th year in business today, June 22, 2011. Reid Organization has quickly become one of the largest real estate firms in Florida, managing a portfolio of around $50 million across central and south Florida.

A negative carbon footprint occurs when you give back to the environment more than the resources you take from it to operate the business.

Overly ambitious? According to their President, Scott Reid, 29, he says it is all very possible and knows exactly how to do it. Reid was the first Realtor in the history of the industry to be named to the national “30 Under 30” list his first full year in real estate (2006), recognizing the top 30 agents in America under 30 years old. He was among the top buyer’s agents in the country in 2010 based on transaction sides, and has stated they are on pace to make the Inc. 500 for 2011. The company goal is to become the fastest growing real estate company in America.

“We have luck on our side” says Reid. Reid Organization headquarters is said by employees to regularly be visited by the spirits of the past. Located in what is known as the “Key Room,” RO occupies the top 2 floors of the Angebilt building in downtown Orlando. The office used to be a ballroom for the Angebilt Hotel before recently being converted to office space. According to hotel records, Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and Harvey Firestone all visited the ballroom the same night on their way to Edison’s home in Fort Myers. A2ZCDS.com, a division of Reid Organization, sells a DVD series on the history of Thomas Edison which was produced in the early 2000s.

According to Reid, they are developing a technology that will revolutionize the real estate industry globally once launched. Reid has been aggressively recruiting top talent, adding 15 new employees thus far in 2011, including one c-level executive who comes over pre-IPO from an undisclosed company.

Reid has been pushing the Orlando Magic to erect two bronze statues in front of the Amway Center to honor the Orlando Magic’s two big men, Dwight Howard and Shaquille O’Neal. “Why not?” says Reid. “All the great teams in the NBA have them, so why not build the statues first and then become a great team? Whether Dwight stays or not, they both deserve them and what the fans want.” Reid is adamant the statues will show a positive ROI for the owner, Richard DeVos, and push players to work harder to join the legendary big men.
