/EINPresswire.com/ According to PartyPokerRakeback.org, Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) has suspended Full Tilt’s gaming license INDEFINITELY pending further investigation. Players have since been making the move to Party Poker, the world’s #3 online poker site and one of the largest and most trusted gaming companies in the world.
On Wednesday, the Alderney Gaming Control Commission announced through a statement on their website that they had suspended the license of Full Tilt Poker due to the business “operating contrary to Alderney legislation, which came to light through an investigation by the commission that began shortly after Black Friday.”
The executive director of the AGCC, Andre Wilsenach, said that “the decision to suspend the eGambling license was in the public interest and, because of the seriousness and urgency of the matter, it required that immediate action be taken ahead of the regulatory hearing.” The hearing will take place on July 26th. According to the decision, Full Tilt Poker may not accept any new players, allow new deposits or withdrawals to take place or offer real money play on the site until the hearing takes place.
The story comes in wake of the L.A. Times reporting that the company may have also found a potential buyer from an investment group based out of Europe. It’s unclear the stipulations behind the rumored deal, but it could mean that an estimated $150 million in frozen USA player funds could potentially be released back into players’ bank accounts sooner rather than later.
The fall of Full Tilt Poker since Black Friday has been shocking to many industry observers. The site was backed by countless respectable pros and has usually been seen as a good guy in the online poker world, as further evidenced by their number #2 traffic rank in the world. At PartyPokerRakeback.org, we are not associated with Full Tilt Poker but sympathize with the US and now non-US players that have been affected by the fallout from the events of Black Friday.
