Dallas, TX — Four kids were rescued from a blazing hot SUV in Dallas, while their parents were donating plasma on Sunday, July 31, 2011. The mother and father were arrested and their children were taken to a Dallas hospital and placed with Child Protective Services, reported UPI.

According to police, Natasha Hamalian, 22, and Nicholas Madison, 24, both of Dallas, were arrested on suspicion of abandoning/endangering a child, after Good Samaritans notice four kids inside of a steaming-hot SUV.

The young children, ages 2 months, 15 months, 3-years and 5-years, were located at around 12:30 p.m. as temperatures were hovering around 100 degrees. The Good Samaritans contacted police then opened up the SUV to let the children out.

“The witnesses that actually opened up the door and got the kiddos out of the car, they knew that they had called the police, so I think they felt safe,” Dallas police Sgt. Charles Young said, reported UPI.

Authorities believe the children had been inside the SUV for at least 2 hours, before being located.

The children were reportedly severely dehydrated and were given an IV by medical professionals.

Investigations are underway.
