U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Releases Information on Fatal Occupational Injuries

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics conducted a program, the Census of Fatal Occupational Injuries, to determine the number of fatal work injuries recorded in the United States. According to the results, a preliminary total of 4,547 workers sustained fatal work injuries in 2010. This amounts to a rate of 3.5 deaths per 100,000 full-time workers.
