…in a field of Top Consultants by Mission Critical Communications Magazine and the addition of a new service; FCC waiver application assistance.
/EINPresswire.com/ Covington, LA – November 22, 2011 — Tusa Consulting Services II, LLC (TCS), a designer of public safety radio systems, has announced they have been cited in a field of Top Consultants by Mission Critical Communications Magazine and the addition of a new service; FCC waiver application assistance.
Mission Critical, whose publication serves the public safety communications industry, asked its readers to provide input on their experiences with mission-critical communications consultants, and the response was overwhelming. The management and staff of Tusa Consulting Services are proud to receive this recognition and are most appreciative of our loyal and growing client base.
Related to the Industry, TCS is now providing FCC waiver application assistance for those radio system owners who are unable to comply with the FCC’s VHF/UHF narrow banding requirements. FCC Part 90 radio systems operable below 512MHz are required to reduce their occupied bandwidth by January 1st, 2013 or face penalties for non-compliance. The FCC’s penalties for non-compliance include daily fines as well as potential license forfeiture.
The FCC has released waiver guidelines for those system owners who have initiated narrow banding actions, but due to unforeseen circumstances may not be completed by the January 2013 deadline. Licensees who qualify may be able to secure additional time to complete their narrow banding process. The waiver process, however, is not intended to relieve licensees of their responsibility to complete the technical process of the FCC Order. Those affected and desiring waiver application assistance should contact waiver@tusaconsulting.com for more information.
About Tusa Consulting Services
Tusa Consulting Services was founded by Dominic (Nick) Tusa in 1991. At that time, Tusa provided contract radio engineering services for professional consulting firms such as Moses Engineers (New Orleans); RCC Consultants (Woodbridge, NJ) and Dorsey-Pages, LLC. Additionally, Tusa independently undertook microwave and radio communications projects for Exxon Company, USA; the City of Kansas City, Missouri and others.
By 2002, Tusa had begun its transition from providing technical services to other consulting firms and focused on developing a wholly-independent private practice. By late 2004, Tusa had initiated its plan for structured expansion through equity partnerships and had selected its first partner, Gilbert Stock. Coincident with Stock’s addition, the firm’s official name was changed to Tusa Consulting Services II, LLC (or TCS).
Today, TCS has consultants located in Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Florida and Georgia. Our vision is to be recognized as the best in the nation at designing and providing implementation oversight of life-critical, hardened radio networks. Every step we take, whether in the expansion of our firm into other states, the addition of consultant personnel or through the development of new customer services, is geared toward providing only the highest quality response, care and attention to client needs.
