/EINPresswire.com/ An Angus Reid survey commissioned by Weston Bakeries Limited, maker of WONDER(R) bread, finds more Canadians avoiding foods with artificial preservatives, artificial colours and artificial flavours.
Canadian attitudes towards food ingredients are changing according to an Angus Reid survey commissioned by Weston Bakeries Limited, maker of healthy bread options like WONDER(R) bread.
The survey, which asked about food ingredients, found 70% of Canadians believe avoiding foods with artificial preservatives, artificial colours and artificial flavours is more important than just a year ago. In fact, over half said they had rejected a food because it wasn’t free of these items.
“Consumers are very clearly demanding more wholesome and natural foods,” said a spokesperson for WONDER(R) bread (http://www.wonderbread.ca). “We are proud to answer this call with new WONDER(R) bread recipes that are free of artificial preservatives and other added chemical additives.”
All WONDER(R) white and whole wheat bread is also now made with a list of simplified and recognizable ingredients and do not contain Sodium Steroyl-2-Lactylate or Monogylerides, which are used in some other breads to extend shelf life and keep them softer longer. http://wonderbread.ca/products/breads?src=attitude-to-food-ingredients-pr
