/ Dunbar, executive director of Saint Jude Retreats, recently appeared as a guest on with Kenneth Anderson. Dunbar was the second guest on the talk radio show series segment “Addiction Treatments That Work,” which aired online on Dec. 22, 2011. Dunbar gave an overview of Saint Jude Retreats and discussed the origins of the Saint Jude Retreat House through the Baldwin Research Medical Institute. She also explained the importance of using an independent firm to do a research survey for a verified success rate regardless of its philosophy, whether the program is based on social education like Saint Jude Retreats, or is an addiction treatment program like other organizations. Its current success rate is at about 60 percent.

“As an organization that helps people who struggle with drug and alcohol use, it’s important to let people know about who we are and what we do,” said Daniel Hidalgo, senior marketing director for Saint Jude Retreats. “People don’t know what the different options are, so this was a good opportunity for our director to share information.”

During the show, Dunbar answered several questions from Anderson, including the various options available with Saint Jude Retreats, the age breakdown of the participants, how the program works and why it is successful.
