Integrated Consulting announced the completion of an intensive, two week project controls training course for a major Korean E&C Firm. This training finalized the end of a year-long project controls implementation. The training was attended by 17 Korean delegates at a luxury Houston hotel, which encompassed all aspects of project controls methodologies, including work breakdown structures, risk management, earned value management, planning and scheduling. Each training class was conducted by an industry thought leader and assisted by subject matter experts (to provide real project management experiences) and consisted of lectures, group exercises, discussions and quizzes. To tailor the training to the client’s needs, Integrated Consulting incorporated several group exercises for each topic, using project specific information and experiences, to enhance and illustrate the lecture material. By keeping lecture time to less than 30% of the total training and engaging in several group and individual exercises, a lively exchange of thoughts and discussions on the subject material was encouraged and aided comprehension of the concepts. At the end of the two-week course, each delegate received a certificate of completion, study materials and tools for implementation.
