Design2Sell Interiors in partnership with the Riverpark Inn of Helen, Ga. will create an exhibit inspired by the movie “The Sound of Music” at The Next Cool Event, a creative showcase of local vendors and designers. On Feb. 17, 2012, Barbara Heil-Sonneck, Creative Director and Co-Owner of the design company, will unveil a unique interpretation of the grand entry way and natural surroundings of the Von Trapp family home as seen in the classic film. Guests will experience an environment featuring alpine décor, but with an updated twist.
An interesting blend of design elements will lend the same unique style to the exhibit that Design2Sell infuses into each and every space fashioned by the organization. The set design will invoke the heritage of Heil-Sonneck. Originally from Bavaria, the creative professional looks forward to including some of her “favorite things” in the space.
Barbara Heil-Sonneck partnered with Carol Powell of the Riverpark Inn and Conference Center of Helen, Ga. www.helen-georgia-hotels.com to produce the distinctive exhibit. The beautiful northeast mountain region of Helen is a popular spot and provided local visual motivation for the appearance of The Next Cool Event display.
“Many film makers and television companies utilize our mountain backdrop and quaint Bavarian style buildings to produce major motion pictures and stage events. We are inspired by The Next Cool Event to showcase our little village of Helen, Ga.,” Powell said.
The Next Cool Event is a showcase of local Georgia-based creative resources to support the growing film and television industry. The design extravaganza will be held at the Atlanta Expo Center North Building located at 3650 Jonesboro Road, Atlanta, Georgia 30354, from Feb17-18th, 2012.
