Ramsey, NJ — Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) have voluntarily recalled about 8,430 Konica Minolta Printers for fire hazards the product poses to consumers. The CPSC announced the nationwide product recall on February 2, 2012.
The printer recall was issued after discovering that the printer can short circuit and overheat during use, which poses a fire hazard to consumers.
“This recall involves four desktop models of laser color printers: Magicolor 4750DN, Magicolor 3730DN, Bizhub C35 and Bizhub C35P. Model numbers are located on the plate attached to the side of the printer as well as the bottom of the front door. The printers are dark and light gray in color and have ‘Konica Minolta’ printed on the top of the front door,” reported the CPSC.
Consumers are advised to contact Konica Minolta to schedule a free replacement.
