Los Angeles short sale expert Toni Patillo, co-author of Should I Short Sale My Home, and talk radio host of the Call Toni Real Estate Radio Show heard on KTLK AM 1150 Saturdays at 3:00 pm PT, is launching a new website designed to help homeowners do a self-evaluation of the equity of their home.
The site, called 123BreakEven.com, walks visitors through a series of easy steps to help determine how long it might take for homeowners who owe more than their home is worth to bring their equity into positive territory.
Patillo, who is principal owner and broker of record of Toni Patillo & Associates and L.A. City Short Sales in Santa Monica, specializes in helping distressed property owners stay out of foreclosure. She says the 123Breakeven.com site is one more tool owners can use to help plan their financial strategy for getting out from under the weight of burdensome home mortgage debt.
“It can be discouraging to deal with reality, but it’s so important not to keep running from it. Let’s face it, home prices have dropped dramatically in the last 6 years, but the best way to deal with it is to regain a sense of empowerment and control over our financial futures.”
She says that most homeowners do the opposite and ignore approaching financial troubles until it’s too late to do anything about it.
“What I want people to know is that there is hope. I have helped many underwater homeowners sell their homes even though they owed more than the house was worth. The embarrassment and hassle of foreclosure is not inevitable for those who are willing to take decisive action.”
Patillo says homeowners who aren’t sure if a short sale is right for them can use the new Break Even Calculator or call into her radio show at 888-309-9797.
