/EINPresswire.com/ Land Development and Building has announced that Inglenook, a pocket neighborhood of 27 cottage style homes designed by award-winning architect Ross Chapin, will be included in the 2012 Indianapolis Parade of Homes Tour.
Land Development and Building has announced that Inglenook, a pocket neighborhood of 27 cottage style homes located in Carmel, IN will be included in the 2012 Indianapolis Parade of Homes Tour. The tour, which runs two weekends starting April 14th, offers Indianapolis real estate shoppers an opportunity to tour multiple new home communities.
“We’re very excited to be a participant in the Parade of Homes Tour this year. We believe that our homes offer something truly unique for Indianapolis new homes and the tour is a great opportunity to showcase our eco-friendly neighborhood design that promotes community, sustainability, and responsible land use,” says Casey Land of Land Development and Building.
Inglenook is the only new home community on the 2012 Indy Parade of Homes tour that is built within a pocket neighborhood, a concept that is increasingly in demand for its focus on creating a sense of openness, belonging, and community for residents. Each cottage style home has been designed by award-winning architect Ross Chapin, the author of Pocket Neighborhoods: Creating Small-Scale Community in a Large-Scale World. Chapin has been championing the pocket neighborhood concept for more than a decade, a concept that is inspired by his own Midwest roots.
“Inglenook is a place that harkens back to another era, when neighbors offered a friendly wave hello and welcomed you in for a glass of tea. The craftsman style architecture and rich details throughout offer something that Indianapolis home buyers rarely find when shopping for a new home neighborhood,” says Land.
Inglenook features seven cottage floor plans ranging from approximately 1,060 to 2,176 square feet. Each home features a main floor bedroom and full bath, generous front porch, and bright open floor plans. Additional features include: loft spaces, walk-out terraces, mudrooms, optional basements, and more (varies per plan).
Inglenook will be open for the Parade of Homes Tour on April 14th and 15th as well as April 21st and 22nd from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Inglenook is located on the south side of 99th Street between Westfield Boulevard and Keystone Avenue at the intersection of 99th and Hodges Drive in Carmel, Indiana.
