The day of the event is Saturday, April 21 and it showcases Howard Rosenman, Academy Award(R) winning Screenwriter-Producer as The Film Expo’s Key Note Speaker. National and local authorities representing the Film and T.V. Industry are also part of speaker’s lineup. Howard Rosenman is brought to the event by William Morris Endeavors.As Michael Lynton, Chairman at Sony Pictures, put it: ‘Howard Rosenman is one of the most intelligent, knowledgeable, engaging and funny people I have ever met in the Film Industry or life in general’, this year’s Key Note speaker brings to South Florida his internationally acclaimed from-script-to-screen seminar “The Hollywood Sell”. Mr. Rosenman also brings along his almost 40-year career span in Hollywood and the knowledge and wit that only a recipient of numerous influential Film Industry accolades can provide to emerging and seasoned filmmakers alike.
The successful soap opera, ‘El Talisman’, co produced by Venevision International (Venezuela) and Univision (United States) will bring its star-studded cast to The Film Expo as part of our support to the production of Telenovelas in South Florida.
Mr. Sergio Reynoso, a household name among soap opera followers will be present, as well as first actress Gloria Mayo, Glauber Barcelo, Gustavo Pedraza, and the talented Sandra Itzel. The cast appearance will be hosted by Maisha, internationally recognized actress and voice over talent. Local and national media as well as media from Mexico and Colombia would provide coverage of this event.
Spokespersons from the Miss Aventura & Miss Sunny Isles-USA(R) Pageant (Miss USA(R) organization is owned by the Trump Industries-NBC (R)partnership) bring valuable insight to the filmmaking community. Several local filmmakers form a discussion panel about the perils and successes in their respective filmmaking careers. They are Duba Leibell, William Garcia, Harriette Yahr, Anna Panaro and talented independent filmmaker Jeff Freeman. Additionally, Film Industry vendor tables are part of this great event, showcasing their products and services.
The Film Expo’s hostess is Lauren Camille Goldstein, a local physician pursuing her passion for the Arts as an emerging actress and filmmaker. She comes from the trenches of the Panaro Academy of Dramatic Arts . Based in South Beach, Panaro Academy, conducted by the legendary Anna Panaro, has almost 40 years helping talented filmmakers to bring out the best of them.
